The new location looks very nice, BUT... They keep messing up all the orders. I tried coming here twice and both times my order was wrong. My wife continues to come to this location and always tells me her orders come out wrong as well. It happens sometimes, but every time is not acceptable. verifying an order with the receipt will ensure it is correct, I just wish panera employees would implement this in their routine.

Restaurant review So expensive, I have not been back to panera for a long time but this is ridiculous when you drop 20+ dollars for lunch. The food is fresh and well made. I had the strawberry fruit salad which was done well with a baguette side. I can't say that the meal is worth the money you pay. Pro: fresh food Cons: so expensive Hidden gem: Panera card which helps you earn free food after purchase. I earned a free smoothie after this lunch. When you sign up you get a free pastry item

They recently updated the interior with a fresh new look. Multicolored carpeted floors, leather or vinyl cushioned seating and black top tables. They took wooden window shutters and used them as separators to create a distance, in a way that makes the diner feel more comfortable or secluded while dining away from the order counter. Had a great time reconnecting with my awesome gal pal Kathy H. over good food. The new look made us feel comfy so we chatted, sat, ate and enjoyed the time. Don't you just hate returning to work after a good meal and good times. I ordered a half panini with bowl of mac'n'cheese, the pick two combo with a 10 oz bottled water; total $10.26.

I came in on one of those days that it extremely cold (which is everyday in Chicago), and felt like the only way to keep myself from becoming a block of ice was to pour really hot liquid into my stomach. With that said, I, of course, ordered one of their soups! The girl at the register was extremely helpful and sensing my indecisiveness, offered to bring me a few samples of the soups to try out without me even having to ask! I eventually settled on a bowl of their Creamy Chicken + Rice soup with a side of bread, and it was just what the doctor ordered. The soup wasn't mind blowing, but it was hot and flavorful. My only complaint was that the bread was a tad too chewy for my liking. Personally, I prefer a harder bread (e.g. French baguettes). Otherwise, with their extremely reasonable prices and their fairly quality food, Panera is a great lunch spot!

New location. We walked in at 7:15 pm on Saturday night. The menu was confusing so we told the single counter person we each wanted soup and half a tuna sandwich. She said they were out of every bread but rye and they could not toast it. The shelves and baskets were completely empty except for maybe six bagels. No pastry...nothing. The dining room looked like a hospital cafeteria with dirty rug and several dirty tables. We finally found one and scrapped the crumbs off. Why did they make this place so much worse than the one across the street?

Staff in the kitchen need to do a better job of paying attention. I asked twice for no horseradish on my steak and white cheddar panini and they still got it wrong. To the manager training the new employee at the register, you might want to check your staff in the back too!

Nothing but bad soup. They don't even have anything gluten free. Time to get with the times. They are also very pushy. Not recommended for vegetarians

Readers be forewarned when I'm talking about Panera Bread. My step dad worked as the head chef for years at the primary one in downtown Chicago so I'm a little put off at the sight of the place let alone the all too familiar smells and tastes (you would be too if this was 75% of your diet for at least 4 years.) Never the less no other place was open so I decided to try it out after removing Panera Bread and it's numerous imitators from my diet years ago. What to expect with Panera Bread: 1. Stupidly High Prices for Simple Things 2. Good, albeit could definitely be better food 3. Great service when they're not busy 4. A overly strong, familiar smell akin to Subway It was 8:30AM so like I said no other place was open except for this. I walked in, was greeted by the cashier and ordered some OJ and a sausage, egg & and cheese sandwich. I grabbed my OJ directly from the ice laden container so it was nice and cool and proceeded to walk down to the pick-up counter. The whole time I was thinking I should've ordered something else since they might put cheddar cheese on the sandwich (I can only tolerate some white cheeses.) I waited for awhile before I noticed the plate with what seemed like a half made sandwich with only egg and cheese before I realized they never called my name to let me know it was ready. When the server noticed me over there she grabbed the receipt hanging over the counter and called my name even though I was literally right there (and the only person as well.) To my delight the sandwich was actually finished (the sliver of sausage was hidden) and tasted great with the mozzarella cheese they put on it. I sat there for awhile and drank my delicious orange juice before I left. On the way out one of the cashiers yelled "See you later darling!" out of the blue so I had to awkwardly stop, turn around and wave, but it was nice. Altogether it was $7 for the sandwich and a small OJ which is more than I'd like to pay, but it's expected with Panera.

A bit over priced for the amount of food I think. Soups are great though, wish the sandwiches had more substance to it, not really filling for the price.

Its Panera Bread... corporate chain, but always quality! Location & Ambiance: Its location is good, and ambiance is the same as every Panera Bread! Not much to be said about either one of these. Drinks: I am putting this as its own section, because they have so many options! I personally go with the B-Green breakfast smoothie quite often, because its is tasty and who doesn't want a tasty drink with breakfast! Food: Never had anything I didn't like at Panera Bread! I usually go with the power breakfast sandwiches, or for lunch get a half tuna sandwich with half a cup of chicken noodle soup. Service & Staff: The service was average, and the staff is usually nice. Not much else to say about that! Overall, this Panera Bread, like all others, seems to be good and leave me satisfied. If you have never been to Panera Bead I would recommend going just to try it out. Side note: Good place to study if you have exams coming up!

Yum yum yum, but can get a little expensive for a lunch. This location is clean, nice, and even though it is one of the bigger paneras it gets super crowded during lunch and you have to almost fight for a table, but I guess that is what is expected during lunch. You do get the food pretty quickly though. I tried the new spinach power salad with the Mediterranean sandwich, both are delicious, and are considered a "healthier" option . The spinach salad was very simple, but it was extremely good. There was spinach, egg, mushrooms, olive oil and bacon. All of the flavors went well together. The sandwich was a little hard to consume, the pita bread wouldn't stay together and the cucumbers were falling out. Overall though, this sandwich tastes very different from all the the other panera sandwiches... in a good way! There was humus, chicken, cucumber, spices, all just everything inside made it taste not like a normal american sandwich, but something more.

Panera is a great place to get food if you're looking for lunch or a light dinner. I've been to this location several times and have found the food to be quite delicious. I enjoy that there are seasonal items on the menu. Some of my favorite things to order are the Strawberry Popyseed and Chicken salad (now back on the menu for summer), the Bacon Turkey Bravo, the broccoli cheddar soup and the french onion soup. Their bagels and pastries are pretty solid. I also appreciate that they post the calorie counts of the items on their menu as well. Most of the staff is friendly and the food is prepared pretty quickly. Sometimes, they will even take your plates away from you after you are done eating if they happen to be walking around the area you are sitting in. The location was remodeled maybe a few years back and feels a lot more homey so you can relax and read or do work if you want (or need to). Overall, great location and will be back (especially now that my salad is back!) My only downside is the coffee, which is a bit too weak for my taste.

I always love some Panera bread. Love the combo deals... the Greek salad is really tasty, and the tuna sandwich is satisfying and delicious without being too mayonnaise-y. Too bad they're a Pepsi place!
I like this little place. The only thing is I wish they had my favorite strawberry poppy seed chicken salad all year long. I miss it sooo much! I hope it is back soon.

Compared to the Panera Bread I usually go to, this one was terrible. The manager seemed annoyed that I was taking a "long" time to order because I was with a young child. (There was no one in line) Besides that the service was fine, the only issue I have is that My u-pick-2 salad was terrible tasting, I asked for extra dressing and it still was not enough. As someone who has worked at a Panera Bread before I know that they can do better. : / MY sandwich was VERY good though and I love Panera Bread in general they can't all be perfect I guess. :)

I am not sure I went to the same restaurant the other reviewers went. The breakfast items are okay but the quality of the panini has been going down the hill. Couple of weeks ago, I had a half warm half cold frontega panini. Today, I had a saggy chipole chicken panini. Won't go back for lunch again.

I told my co-worker today that I think I'm having an affair with this restaurant! LOL I can't seem to stop going here for breakfast. Whether it's the cinnamon crunch bagel with hazelnut cream cheese, the asiago bagel breakfast sandwich, the pastry ring, or my latest discovery, the ham and cheese souffle it's all made wonderfully and fills your tummy and your soul with pure joy! LOL Their pumpkin spice latte beats any one of the major coffee joints out there. I got all my co-workers hooked on them. Their bagel packs are a fabulous deal too if you want to treat your co-workers to a nice snack. I call ahead and tell them which ones I want and it's ready by the time I drive there. Personally I think it's all very reasonably priced for what you're getting. Some of it is a LITTLE on the high side, but I've done a little research and found out that Panera actually tries to use some of the better ingredients around for a franchise, which really means a lot to me. I also usually have great service. Sometimes the back of the house can be a bit ditzy when making my lunch and I was a bit annoyed that they took my favorite soup off the menu for the summer, BUT I forgive them. :-) This is my "go-to" place nowadays. Don't forget to get their new MyPanera card. You get random freebies out of the blue and trust me it happens a lot if you're a frequent customer!

This is a pretty solid Panera. The one in Libertyville is quieter, but other than that they are pretty similar. It's usually pretty busy around lunch here during the week. Even though the name of the restaurant is Panera Bread, there are gluten-free options here or at any Panera. They have a binder behind the counter with ingredient lists and allergen information that you can ask to see. I wouldn't try this during the lunch rush though.

The food is great but I called earlier to see if they had any tomato basil loafs and they said they did and I just walked in and they didn't have any...disappointing

Very large location with many food services. Nice ambiance and great food, very clean too. My new favorite Panera location.

(4)Allison M.
I always love some Panera bread. Love the combo deals... the Greek salad is really tasty, and the tuna sandwich is satisfying and delicious without being too mayonnaise-y. Too bad they're a Pepsi place!
(4)Melissa K.
I love panera! especially their soufflés !! But at this location the last 4 times they have given me the wrong thing! I always order the four cheese soufflé and last time they gave me spinach and bacon I could understand if this was a one time mistake but I usually order things to go so I don't notice until I'm at work so today I ordered a four cheese soufflé and a pecan roll when I got to work and opened the soufflé I realized it was tomato feta and a cinnamon roll not pecan roll for $8 and to completely give me the wrong order is ridiculous I won't be visiting this location anymore

(3)Elyse C.
Love Panera. Of all chain resturants this has gotta be my fav. The people are always really nice and food comes out fresh, I love when I earn enough points to get a free brownie or something...mmm.
(5)Deyu Z.

(5)Kim M.
Always quick and friendly service. For years have always gone to the Vernon Hills location, but now will always be visiting this one.
(5)Alysha M.
This place is quick and has nice service. Totally worth it to get your My Panera Card! My debit card was expired and they ended up giving me my lunch that day for free! They care about their loyal customers! MEDITERRANEAN VEGGIE SANDWICH IS DELICIOUS!
(4)Andrew S.
Go here with good size groups after church frequently. A good place for groups to come and eat. I like the half sandwich and a soup deal. Great lemonade, too.
(4)LaWanna O.
I mean what not good here? Everything @ Panera's is great. The service is good too. My favorite for breakfast is a bacon souffle & chai tea latte, yummy!
(5)Scott H.
I've always felt like Panera was a little overpriced for lunch, but I love 'em for breakfast! A momentary detour in a strip mall across from Hawthorn Mall and I've found no better asiago cheese bagel in my day.
(3)Kate M.

(3)Stu M.
It's a decent Panera. I always find Panera food OK, but nothing that leaps out to me. My wife seems to like it more -- we only go when it's her idea and she talks me into it. OK soup. OK salads. OK sandwiches.

(1)Mike K.
Nothing but bad soup. They don't even have anything gluten free. Time to get with the times. They are also very pushy. Not recommended for vegetarians

(3)Indrayan B.
Good and fresh food but sometimes ( like today ) the food quality drop like anything I ordered the Chicken Cesar sandwich and there was no sauce and it tasted very bland and not good.
(2)Joseph M.
